The Opportunity

Binnies, part of the RSK Group, is continuing to expand its Civil Engineering capability to support major AMP8 frameworks across the UK.

Following recent framework wins, we are looking to appoint Civil Engineers into our Delivery group.ย These roles will focus on non-infrastructure water projects delivered within a fast-paced design and build environment.

Key Responsibilities

As a Civil Engineer, you will:

  • Develop and contribute to the delivery of civil engineering design on water sector projects
  • Produce high-quality calculations, technical specifications, and detailed designs
  • Collect, analyse, and manage project data
  • Coordinate multidisciplinary designs and manage technical interfaces
  • Monitor project budgets, programmes, and deliverables to ensure quality outcomes
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships
  • Work closely with project managers, engineers, JV partners, and clients
  • Review bids, subcontractor designs, and provide on-site technical support
  • Support and mentor junior and graduate engineers
  • Ensure compliance with relevant standards, codes, and industry best practice

Person Specification

We are looking for candidates who can demonstrate:

  • A degree (BSc or MSc) in Civil Engineering
  • Chartered Engineer status, or actively working towards chartership
  • Experience in water or wastewater detailed design
  • Familiarity with CDM, procurement, and document control
  • Strong collaboration and stakeholder engagement skills
  • A proactive approach to delivery, with a focus on quality and deadlines
  • Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail
  • Experience overseeing budgets, schedules, and deliverables to ensure quality outcomes
